English Muffins

Make 8-10pcs

1 cup whole milk
3.5 tablespoons, melted butter
1 egg (beaten slightly)
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons sugar
490 grams plain / all purpose flour
2tbsp Semolina flour
1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast

In your bread machine pour in the milk, butter, egg, ½ of flour, salt the rest of the flour, sugar and yeast. Turn your machine to dough and let it go through the dough cycle.

After dough cycle
roll out to ½ inch thickness. Cut out 10 pieces of dough with 4 inch biscuit cutter.

Sprinkle semolina flour over baking paper, place the cut round dough on the paper. Sprinkle the tops of muffins with remaining semolina flour.

Cover with a damp towel and let rest for 30 -45 minutes. Get a nonstick frying pan(I use happycall) under low heat and heat for 2-3 minutes or until one side is turning golden brown like you have seen in the photos.

Let them cool for an hour before cutting.
